The goal of a dress code at CCA is to have students dressed in a manner that is clean, neat, conservative and modest and to ensure teachers are able to focus on learning rather than policing clothing.
A school uniform is both practical, reducing the amount of clothing a child would need, and social, serving as an equalizer of social status. It assists administration in recognizing persons who may not belong on campus, reduces distractions for students, instills discipline, and creates community.
By enforcing a dress code we hope to teach students the value of appropriate dress, to avoid extremes, and to practice moderation for any style.
We appreciate the CCA family of faculty, staff, students, and families displaying a cooperative and respectful attitude in regards to school uniforms. Students who are in violation of the dress code will be addressed as outlined in the Parent-Student Handbook.
