Athletic Enrichment

Girls Volleyball

The Lady Crusaders begin working each summer to prepare for fall matches. The season kicks off at the end of August and runs throughout the fall. Home matches are held at the Trembling Earth Sports Complex in Waycross, Ga. and we hope you’ll make plans to cheer them on. Tryouts for the 2024-2025 season will be announced this summer.

Cross Country

Our students work hard to achieve endurance and commitment as they run as one, work as a team, but finish as a family. Through dedicated training, Crusaders prepare to compete in the southeast Georgia and northeast Florida region. Matches begin in late August and generally run through mid-October. Tryouts for the 2024-2025 season will be announced this summer.

One of the newer CCA sports, both girls and boys grades 5th to 12th are encouraged to participate. Student-athletes compete in the southeast Georgia and northeast Florida region.

Matches are held in September and October. Home matches are held at Lakeview Golf Club in Blackshear, Ga. Tryouts for the 2024-2025 season will be announced early fall.

Basketball

Boys and girls alike compete competitively against other Southeastern Christian Conference schools in the southeast Georgia and northeast Florida region. Games begin in November and run through February. Home games are played in the multiuse complex behind Blackshear Church of God in Blackshear, Ga.

Soccer

Crusader soccer is both competitive and fun, and students enjoy the spring camaraderie. Matches begin in March and generally run through the first of May. Home games are played at Tiger Field in Blackshear, Ga.

Athletic Manual

Participating as a student-athlete is a privilege, and as such, participating students and their families are held to a standard of moral and ethical conduct consistent with the Holy Scriptures. Students are required to read, acknowledge, and agree to the terms outlined in the manual before participating in athletics. Questions can be directed to the Athletic Director, coach, or the Headmasters.

Athletic Affiliation

Crossroads Christian Academy is currently competing in the Southeastern Christian Conference that follows the Georgia High School Association Rules.

The SECC is a group of more than 17 private, Christian schools located in South Georgia and North Florida who promote fellowship, physical fitness, leadership, and teamwork by competing in a variety of sports. The conference has two regions (East and West) that CCA will be competing against for conference titles. Sports offered through the conference include 7-man Flag Football, Golf, Volleyball, and Cross-Country are played in the Fall; Basketball is played in the Winter; 8-man soccer, Baseball and Fast Pitch Softball are played in the Spring. These are most of the sports played, though some schools may have additional sports at their own discretion.

All athletic contests are operated under the rules and regulations governing that sport by the National Federation of High School Athletics and the Georgia High School Association. All officials used in home games for CCA are currently certified under the National Federation of High School Athletics in that sport.
